An Ontario landscape business management software company is putting down roots on PEI.
Landscape Management Network (LMN) has been in operation since 2009. The company helps landscape professionals and snow removal contractors with budgeting, estimating, scheduling, time tracking, and invoicing.
Its proprietary cloud-based platform is used by over 85,000 professionals at 4,000 landscape companies across Canada and the US.
Now, the company has opened a new site in downtown Charlottetown. This new location will house more than 50 employees, including customer service, business development, and technology positions.
As LMN considered opening a second location over the last year, they looked for a location that would allow them to attract top talent and serve their customers across North America. They also wanted a location where employees could enjoy a good quality of life outside of work. They found their answer on PEI.
“Charlottetown does all that,” says Mike Lysecki, Chief Technology Officer, who moved to Charlottetown to work at the new office.
“We’re in the Atlantic time zone, so our team can start at a normal time here and be ready to serve customers on the west coast when they start their day. Plus, we can bring people in here who want more flexibility to work in the afternoon and early evening, and that’s also great for supporting customer needs across the US and Canada.”
The new location will offer flexible roles during normal business hours as well as hours to accommodate students and part-time workers.
Hiring needs
Jobs in demand include customer support, account management, and sales positions.
A recent job fair attracted more than 50 people interested in learning about the company, and five positions were filled. “There are currently nearly a dozen open roles still available,” says Mike.
“We’ll continue to grow the staff at our new office and add people who can help our customers and are a great fit for our culture. We love the talent here on PEI, and the culture.”
LMN is excited to be part of PEI’s community and to work with local and Maritime companies from their unique and inspiring office space, he says. “We think it’s a great fit for our future, and we’re looking forward to getting more involved in the community.”
